Celebrating Iconic Legends of Western Region in Diversity
Our Introduction
Savita House in collaboration with the Centre for National Culture, Western Region is partnering to introduce an exciting new festival celebration in honour of accomplished individuals with legendary status across Arts, Sports and Culture in the Region.Savita House Group is an indigenous group of self-motivated individuals who seek to honour these individuals across the spectrum through Arts, Sports and Culture.The group is closely working with key stakeholders in the identified industries listed above to institutionalize thi s honour festival with support from the stakeholders.The Centre for National Culture, our collaborating partners, is an Institution charged with the responsibility of promotion and preservation of Ghanaian Arts and Culture as promulgated by PNDC Law 238.The mandate of the Organization is to promote and preserve everything Arts and Culture in the Region which is serving as the motivation for this collaboration.The National Sports Authority (NSA) is also our partner for this initiative with mandate for sports development, an aspect of the festival which will require their input and logistical prowess.The entire initiative is under the auspices of the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) and supported by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA)..
Our Mission
Dua Wusoo West Heritage festival is an initiative aimed at celebrating accomplish individuals in varied professions or industry from the home Region through Arts, Sports, and Culture.The Region is widely acknowledged as the home of legends who have risen to Regional and National recognition to the point that, they are easily assumed to be from other Regions instead of their home Region of Western.It is therefore incumbent on us to propagate the good accolades of these legends in the best medium possible i.e.Arts, Sports and Culture to inspire the youth to aspire for similar or even higher recognition.Stakeholders have agreed on a list of activities under the three genres identified above to celebrate these identifiable individuals climaxing it with a ‘Night of Honour’ event for the Celebrants.As an annual initiative, the celebrations will honour a cross section of achievers.The essence and objective of these legendary activities is to position Western Region as the most attractive tourism destination as stipulated in the Black Star Experience and the believe in Ghana dream.

To inspire the populace to leverage on the achievements of these Legends.

To encourage sharing of experiences and strengthen unity with communal pride.

To nurture sports and creative talents among the youth.
